The area reserved for prayer, the procedure to enter, the closing days and time of services and confessions
Santa Croce is the destination of million visitors but it is also a place of
worship opened to the believers to pray, confess and attend Mass.
To them is dedicated a specific area which includes the Niccolini chapel,
famous to be the place where Stendhal had the famous syndrome.
The worshippers enter for free.
The entry door is located in Largo Bargellini (on the left side of the building, facing the façade of the church).
As it is possible to enter the area for prayer during the opening for tourists
as well as when ticket office is closed, it is necessary to specify the personnel
of Santa Croce the intention to enter the Complex for religious purposes: the staff will give you indications.

Every day from 10:00 am to 12:00 am and from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
Services of particular interest are planned every October the 4th (Saint Francis) and June the 13th (Saint Anthony).
In memory of the soldiers who died fighting in the I and II World War a service is celebrated on November the 4th.
Every 1st Saturday of the month the church opens from 9:30 pm to 00:00 pm
in order to welcome a group of prayer called “sentinelle della mattina di Pasqua”
whose purpose is to evangelize the young. They also meet each other every Friday night
in the church devoted to the Saints Michael and Gaetano
located in Antinori square in Florence.
Monthly, every second and fourth Sunday, meetings focused on education and spirituality
take place inside the Franciscan hall of Santa Croce friary: the lessons are taught by
the Franciscans who live in Santa Croce.
