Donatello. The Renaissance
The Opera di Santa Croce is pleased to participate in the temporary exhibition Donatello. The Renaissance at Palazzo Strozzi with two of its masterpieces on show.
From 19 to 31st July 2022 the Crucifix and the St. Louis of Toulouse, from the Bardi chapel of Vernio and the Refectory, will be part of the exhibition at Palazzo Strozzi, perhaps the most important ever dedicated to Donatello and to the artists of his time with over 130 works including sculptures, paintings and drawings.
Santa Croce will also be included in the itinerary proposed by the project "Donatello in Tuscany": a multi-site exhibition spread throughout the Region that visits the places of Donatello and includes the monumental complex, where visitors can admire the Annunciation of the Virgin, another major work of the great Renaissance master.
