Requiem di Mozart in basilica

At the heart of the evening is the celebrated Requiem Mass by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, an unfinished masterpiece that embodies humanity’s confrontation with one of its deepest anxieties, death, and marks a meeting point between sacred musical tradition, dramatic theatrical expression, and passages inspired by classical style.

This long-standing annual event once again returns, drawing hundreds of spectators each year. The concert is conducted by Giuseppe Lanzetta, with the participation of the Coro della Cappella Musicale di Santa Maria del Fiore, directed by Michele Manganelli.
The solo voices are the soprano Patrizia Cigna, the mezzo-soprano Diana Kirienko, the tenor Anzor Pilia and the bass Diego Colli.

Admission is free with mandatory reservation.
